Who Am I?

Hello, and thank you for considering Critter Sitter of Cary for your pet’s personal care. My name is Nina LaMonica, owner and handler of Critter Sitter of Cary Pet Sitting.

As a loving and caring pet guardian, I know that pets are happier and healthier in their own environment. There are definitely exceptions, and I know that there are some dogs that do very well & love spending time at a Kennel / Boarding facility.

I have loved and been guardian to many animals of all shapes and sizes all my life, including, many dogs, cats, gerbils, hamsters, 2 ferrets, fish, Love Birds, Finches, a Sun Conure, named Jack & let's not forget my daughters' Boa Constrictor. I just recently lost my beloved 15 year old cat "Sylvester".

After working for the NYC Department of Education as a Special Education Instructor for 15 years, I decided that it was time for a change. After contemplating what it was that I wanted to do, I realized that it was my children, my family, my friends & my pets that always meant the most to me. Well....the children have moved on & the pets stayed!! Hence the realization of "Critter Sitter of Cary" & I LOVE it!!

I read and watch everything I can about dogs and their behavior, as well as being certified in Pet CPR and Pet First Aid. I consider it my obligation to continue learning all I can, in order to provide the best care possible for your dog and other animals.

I am excited about offering my services to the community, and look forward to becoming an important part of your family and your pet/companion becoming an important part of mine.

In addition it is often uncomfortable and awkward to impose on friends and family. It is also commonly known that pets do better in their own environment."

I am also a bit of a "NERD", I love graphic & web design....... .......My web site was created & implemented by me, so it reflects not only my Pet Business, but many of the causes that I believe in & am passionate about.....feel free to roam around.
